Instructions:

  1. One scholar is identified as the ā€˜drum majorā€™ which will be doing motions that everyone should follow. This could include clapping their hands, waving their arm, patting their head, get creative!
  1. Another scholar is trying to guess the drum major, so they donā€™t know who the ā€˜drum majorā€™ is
  1. The moderator should start the game by identifying who the guesser will be and asking them turn away from the group and close their eyes/cover their ears so they canā€™t hear who the drum major is. While they are turned away from the group, the moderator should help the group choose a drum major.
  1. Tap the guesser on the shoulder to let them know they can rejoin in the middle of the circle, and everyone in the room should be already following the drum leader, doing a similar action to one another.
  1. The drum major should switch their actions every once in a while, and everyone else follows the new action the drum major does. The guesser should find who is ā€˜leadingā€™ the band, aka, the drum major!
  1. Give the guesser 3 guesses to do so. Afterwards, have them pick a new guesser!
